Riron Okuri helps candidates for the Japanese Certified Public Tax Accountant exam (税理士試験) check how well they can recite tax law theory.
Import your own theory PDF. The app re-flows the text in large type and hides everything after the cursor. Turn the dial at the bottom of the screen to reveal the text line by line: recall what comes next, then check it.
- Turn with one finger to advance line by line; use the outer ring or two fingers to move by paragraph. Turn back to hide the text again. - Pick where to start from chapters, theories and headings, and resume where you stopped. - Swipe left or right to move to the next theory. The heading dial lets you recall only titles and headings. - Headers, page numbers, statute numbers in parentheses and commentary sections are removed. Red text stays red.
Works with text-based PDFs that have bookmarks. Scanned PDFs and password-protected PDFs are not supported. PDFs and progress stay on your device.
Free version: the first half of one imported document, plus the bundled sample. Full version (one-time purchase): any number of documents and all theories.
The app's interface is in Japanese. Theory PDFs are not included.
