About
Room and Pillar is an abstract strategy game by Mark Steere, played on a Konane board: a grid filled with a checkerboard pattern of black and white stones.
Black and White take turns removing one of their own stones. After the first removal, every removal must be next to an empty point, and a removal must never create a 2x2 area of empty points. The last player able to remove a stone wins.
The rules take a minute to learn. The game has no draws, no luck and no turn-order advantage worth mentioning, and it uses the pie rule.
