About
Learn salsa one count at a time.
Salsa Steps has two parts: a rhythm game that teaches your feet the beat, and a pocket salsa wiki where every step is traced on the floor.
RHYTHM • Tap LEFT and RIGHT exactly on the beat, over original salsa grooves • Steps on 1-2-3, pause on 4, steps on 5-6-7, pause on 8 — the real salsa count • Five levels, from a slow basic step to fast salsa with taps • Perfect / Good / Miss judgment, combos and a rank for every level
SALSA WIKI • Nine figures: basic step, side basic, Cuban guapea, basic with taps, cumbia step, Suzie Q, the follower's right turn, the cross body lead and the New York On2 basic • Animated footprints seen from above: watch each foot move on its count, with trails, turns and pivots • Leader and follower views — the follower's steps are not just a mirror • Play any figure on music, slow, normal or fast, or tap a count to freeze it • Count-by-count breakdown, tips and common mistakes for every figure • Articles: rhythm and clave, finding the 1, the styles (LA, New York, Cuban, Colombian), a short history, posture and frame, leading and following, songs to practise on, a glossary and a 15-minute home routine • Video links to go further
