About

Sanskrit: Grammar & Sutras is a structured course in Sanskrit grammar for adult learners, rooted in the Pāṇinian tradition.

Begin with the Devanagari script and simple sentences, then study the grammar the way it has long been taught: through the sūtras of the Laghu Siddhānta Kaumudī, each one worked through on real words.

Laghu Siddhānta Kaumudī All 1,279 sūtras in 60 chapters, each with its Pāṇini reference and IAST transliteration, and 1,301 worked examples that derive a word step by step. The commentary is written in Nepali.

Verb roots A Dhātu Kosha of 200 roots with their present-tense forms, participles and example sentences. Fifty of them are conjugated in full across five tenses and moods.

Declension Declension tables for 748 words across the eight cases and three numbers, and a Varṇamālā chart that arranges the alphabet by place and manner of articulation.

Lessons 93 lessons in 27 chapters lead from the script to reading connected Sanskrit. A separate grammar track of 60 lessons covers sandhi, case, compounds and syntax.

Practice 890 exercises with instant feedback, in nine sets: sandhi, declension, conjugation, case usage, compound analysis, word formation, translation, sentence correction and mixed practice.

Reading Put the grammar to use on real texts: the complete Bhagavad Gītā (701 verses with IAST transliteration and translation), subhāṣitas, stories and riddles. Each day the home screen offers a verse, a verb root and a sūtra to read.

Details • The interface, lessons and translations are available in English and Nepali. • Works entirely offline, with no account, no ads and no tracking. • Pronunciation is taught through written IAST transliteration; the app has no recorded audio.
