In short

SeaStash is a savings app for children that tracks pocket money kept in a real jar and grows a sea creature for each saving goal. It is aimed at children aged 5 to 7 with a simpler mode, and older savers get a fuller version. One standout detail is that every coin saved helps a sea baby grow, and finished wishes unlock a reef that builds up slowly over months.

About

SeaStash turns a child's pocket money into an ocean that grows.

It is not a bank and it never touches real money. It is an honest notebook for the coins in the piggy bank — with a reason to keep them there.

WHAT IT TEACHES IS PATIENCE A child sees what they have, what they are saving for, and how far off it still is — and every coin they put away makes something visibly grow. Counting the jar and finding it doesn't match. Waiting five weeks for a wish. Choosing between a small thing now and a better thing later. Those are the lessons, and none of them are taught as lessons.

THE POOL The Pool is the real cash a child can hold in their hands. Pocket money goes in, sweets come out, and the app keeps a truthful record of both. Every so often it asks them to tip the jar out and count it. If the numbers disagree, that is treated as a friendly mystery to solve, never a telling-off.

A WISH BECOMES A CREATURE Saving for a LEGO set is abstract. Feeding the small octopus growing towards it is not. Each wish adopts a sea baby who grows in stages as the money goes in — a quarter, half, three-quarters, fully grown — and every coin is flicked into the water for them to catch. When the wish is reached they swim off to live in the reef, and the money comes back out to spend on the real thing.

THE REEF Points earned by saving buy decorations and wild friends for a living reef, then a sunken wreck, a cave, a volcano, and one more that stays a secret until it opens. The water itself deepens through six shades as the total grows. It takes months on purpose: the reward for saving slowly is a place that gets better slowly.

ALSO INSIDE • Jobs a grown-up sets, claimed by the child and paid only once approved • Weekly quests, saving streaks and nineteen shell badges • Savings and "growing money" accounts alongside the cash pool • A monthly story of every coin in and out • A daily starfish to find • Birthdays remembered — the app marks the day and hands over splash points • Little-kid mode for ages 5–7, full mode for older savers

FOR GROWN-UPS • Nothing leaves the device. No accounts, no sign-in, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. • No bank connection and no card. The app cannot move real money. • Settings, balances, jobs and backups sit behind a PIN. • Up to three children on one device, each with a completely separate ocean. • A birthday is optional, stored as a day and month only, and never leaves the device. On the eighth birthday the app OFFERS the fuller version rather than switching itself. • Backups are saved as a file you control, wherever you choose to put it. • Paid once. No subscription and nothing to sell a child inside the app.

Works entirely offline. Made for children aged roughly 5 to 10.
