By HEEJAE KIM · EducationWhy we expect it: Clear, carefully written lessons, safe practice screens, and scam awareness make this a strong, welcoming debut.
About
Smart Guide is a classroom for people who are new to smartphones. The text is large, the words are plain, and each screen shows one step at a time.
You start with tapping, swiping, and pinching to zoom. Then you learn how to make the phone yours: text size, brightness, sound, and Wi-Fi.
After each lesson, you can try it on a practice screen. No money is charged, and nothing connects to a real store or bank.
• Calls, contacts, texts, and messaging • Videos, photos, and search • Shopping and food delivery • Trains, buses, and map directions • Restaurant and café self-order screens • Movie tickets, clinic bookings, and sending money • Spotting scam texts and romance scams • Setting up a new phone for the first time
A short daily review brings back what you learned. If you leave in the middle, you can continue next time.
Learn with a family member or teacher, or take your time on your own.
