Shotgun: Car Quiz for Families

Shotgun is a quiz game for a car full of people. The game reads every question aloud, and everyone answers by speaking — phones stay in laps, not in faces.

HOW IT WORKS One phone starts a game and shows a code. Everyone else joins with it. The question is read out, a light comes on, and whoever knows the answer says it. Answers are recognised on the phone and judged in seconds. Scores appear after every round.

MADE FOR THE BACK SEAT • Questions suit each player's age band — picked by them, never a birthdate • Say the answer, or tap it, for a shy player or a loud motorway • Dark screens made for a car at night • No account, no sign-up, no ads

WORLDS The host can give each player their own world. In the turn-by-turn game, each player's questions come from theirs, so a teenager and a six-year-old can play the same game on different topics.

The subscriptions renew yearly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. The road trip pass ends after a day and never renews.

A WORD ABOUT THE MICROPHONE Shotgun listens only while a question is open, and never records or stores the sound. Your iPhone turns speech into words itself where it can. Nothing is shared with advertisers, because there are none.
