In short

Shrimpodoro: Pomodoro Timer is a productivity app that locks the next focus round until you finish a set of 5, 10 or 20 squats, which the iPhone front camera counts without recording video. It is aimed at people who sit for long stretches and want movement built into their work sessions. One detail that stands out is that each squat climbs a virtual meter toward landmarks such as Mt. Fuji and Everest.

About

Your pomodoro breaks are making you tired. Five minutes of scrolling turns into forty, and you come back curled up like a shrimp.

Shrimpodoro is a pomodoro timer with one rule: your next pomodoro stays locked until you squat.

HOW A ROUND WORKS • Focus for 5–120 minutes (25 by default). A tiny hand-drawn version of you types along and slowly curls into a shrimp. • Time's up. The next pomodoro is locked. • Do 5, 10 or 20 squats. Your front camera counts every rep right on your iPhone. Video is never recorded or uploaded, and it works up close, even with your feet out of frame. • A pink tomato drops into your pile, and the next round unlocks.

TWO THINGS TO COLLECT • Tomatoes for focus: finish a round and squat for a pink tomato. Skip or give up and it's a black one. They pile up on your home screen all day. • Landmarks for squats: every squat climbs 1 meter. Unlock 38 badges, from a little house to the Eiffel Tower, Mt. Fuji and Everest (8,849 m).

ALSO • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, StandBy, and a Dynamic Island timer • Siri: "Start a pomodoro with Shrimpodoro" or "Add 10 minutes in Shrimpodoro" • Day, week, month and year stats • Share your day as an image or a short video • No account, no sign-up. Your history stays on your iPhone.

WHY SQUATS Short movement breaks during long sitting are linked to less fatigue and better mood, and a minute of squats every 20 minutes helped keep brain blood flow from dropping during hours of sitting. Standing up alone isn't enough. Moving is.

FREE AND PRO Free: unlimited pomodoros and all 38 landmark badges. Shrimpodoro Pro: month and year reports, focus insights (your golden hour, the minute you tend to quit, and whether you’re improving), and sharing without a watermark. Monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase.
