Skip the Stone
Not claimedFind a quiet spot, pick a flat stone, and skip it across the water
By Brian KINNEY · GamesWhy we expect it: A charming, well-crafted pixel-art stone skipping game with rich detail, clear progression, and a strong debut feel.
About
Find a quiet spot, pick a flat stone, and skip it across the water.
SWIPE TO THROW Flick across the screen: faster goes further, and a low, flat throw skips best, just like the real thing.
TAP ON THE TOUCHDOWN Tap just as the stone kisses the water for a perfect skip. String them together into a streak and watch it fly.
A LITTLE HELP ALONG THE WAY Bounce off lily pads, sleepy turtles, drifting logs and friendly seals. Call a breeze to push it along, or let a gull carry it for a while.
ACROSS AND BEYOND Skip all the way across and your stone keeps going, tumbling over the land and knocking things over, from garden gnomes and hay bales to tents and treasure chests: the further out, the more they're worth. When it stops, kick it on: stop the power meter in the green. The farther it gets, the more hats, pet wear and stone trails you win.
EARN RIPPLES, SKIP FURTHER Every skip earns ripples. Spend them on new stones (from a humble River Pebble to the mysterious Golden Stone), mod them, strengthen your arm, and reach the far bank.
FOURTEEN SPOTS TO DISCOVER Reach each far bank to open the next spot: Meadow Creek's mill pond, the willows of Willow River, snow-capped Pinewood Lake and the open sea at Saltwind Coast, all in hand-crafted pixel art.
REAL TIME OF DAY The light follows your clock: soft sunrises, golden sunsets, and starry nights with fireflies and crickets. The weather changes through the day, from full sun and passing clouds to gentle rain, morning fog and snow at the lake.
MORE TO ENJOY - A dog or cat keeps you company on the dock (you can pet them) - A nature journal of 90 creatures and curiosities: tap them to take their picture - Legends to hunt, glowing purple when they appear: a werewolf under the full moon, a yeti in the snow, and stranger things - Forty-four challenges, each with a small permanent bonus - Idle mode (with the Full Game): set the phone down and watch it skip on its own - Forty-eight hats, pet outfits and stone trails to collect - Twenty-one gentle songs, five for each region, and nature sounds - Twelve languages, and adjustable text size - Plays offline. No ads, no accounts, nothing collected
