In short

Splatpad: Toddler Canvas turns each key press or touch into a paint splat, shape, or animal, paired with its own musical note. It is aimed at babies and toddlers exploring cause and effect. A standout feature is the locked-down mode: on Mac it blocks accidental shortcuts, and parent controls require a three-second hold plus a sum on iPhone and iPad.

About

Splatpad is a blank canvas for very small hands.

Press a key or touch the screen and something appears: a paint splat, a star, a heart, a flower or an animal, in random colors, sizes and places, together with a sound of its own. There is nothing to learn and nothing to break, so a baby or toddler can simply explore cause and effect.

• Every touch makes something. Paint splats, shapes, a dozen animal silhouettes and emoji animals. Several fingers at once each leave their own mark and trail. • A sound for every key. Each key has its own note from a scale that always sounds pleasant, so children slowly learn which key makes which sound. On iPhone and iPad the pitch follows where the finger lands. • Locked in for little hands. On the Mac the app fills the screen and blocks the shortcuts a child would hit by accident. On iPhone and iPad it works with Guided Access, and the app explains how to set it up. Parent controls sit behind a deliberate three-second hold and, on iPhone and iPad, a short sum only a grown-up can solve. • Yours to tune. Choose the background color, which shapes appear, whether they fade or stay, one color or many. Clear the canvas in a tap or save the finished picture. In English and Czech. • On the Mac, switch to letters and it becomes a big, colorful typewriter.

Private by design: no ads, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing leaves your device. Splatpad does not collect any data. One purchase, no subscription and no in-app purchases.

Requires iOS 16 or later, or macOS 13 or later.
