Stopover helps you plan a visit under China's 240-hour visa-free transit policy, keep track of your stay and handle everyday travel tasks.

PLAN YOUR STAY Enter your passport nationality, port of entry and arrival time. Confirm whether you hold an onward ticket to a third country or region for a preliminary check of transit conditions. See the permitted areas listed in the app, then organize the cities and dates in your itinerary.

KEEP YOUR DEADLINE IN VIEW After clearing immigration, confirm your actual entry time to start the countdown. The estimated stay deadline uses Beijing time, even if your phone uses a different time zone. Check time remaining in the app or with Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and enable departure reminders. The countdown tracks your stay deadline, not your flight time.

FIND THE WORDS YOU NEED Browse offline phrases for transport, hotels, meals, shopping and asking for help. Each phrase includes Chinese text, pinyin and an English meaning. Show a phrase in full screen or open a bilingual help card when you need to communicate.

HANDLE EVERYDAY DETAILS Read practical guidance on entry, payments, accommodation and departure. Convert currencies using reference exchange rates and estimate a shopping tax refund before handling fees.

No separate app account is required. Phrases, help cards and bundled guides work offline. Fetching new exchange rates and opening external sources require an internet connection; saved rates remain available. Notifications require permission.

The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish and Russian. Phrase text, help cards and some guide content are provided in Chinese and English.

Stopover is an independent travel tool, not a government service. Eligibility checks, stay deadlines and refund estimates are for reference. Entry permission and the authorized stay are determined by border inspection authorities; refund eligibility and payment depend on the applicable rules and actual processing.
