Stow is a quiet reading tracker for people who just want a record of what they read. No feed to scroll, no followers to collect, no streak to break, and nothing recommended to you by an algorithm. You put books on shelves, and Stow remembers.
THE CATALOGUE DOES THE TYPING Search millions of works from Open Library, the open catalogue run by the Internet Archive. Title, author, cover, publication year and page count all arrive filled in.
THREE SHELVES, ONE TAP APART Want to read. Reading now. Read. Moving a book between them is a single tap, and the shelf updates the moment you do it.
PROGRESS WORTH LOGGING Log the page you stopped on. Whatever you're reading sits at the top of your library with a quiet progress bar, so picking it back up takes no searching.
THE DATE YOU FINISHED, KEPT Every book you mark as read keeps its completion date, and your Read shelf stays ordered by it — a reading diary you never had to write.
AT A GLANCE Your library opens on a simple count: how many books you've read, how many are waiting, how many you're in the middle of. No charts, no goals to fall behind on.
HOW IT WORKS 1. Search the catalogue. Type a title or an author. 2. Put it on a shelf. Want to read, or straight to reading now if you've already started. 3. Mark it read. One tap when you finish. Stow records the date.
WHAT STOW DOESN'T DO There is no advertising anywhere in the app, and no third-party analytics or tracking software of any kind. Nobody else can see your shelves — there is no social layer to opt out of, because there isn't one. We don't profile you based on what you read, and we never sell your data. Your account holds your name, your email and your library. That's it.
LEAVING IS EASY Deleting your account is a button in the app, not an email thread. Profile, then Delete account. It permanently erases your library, your reading progress and your account.
DESIGNED TO BE READ Warm paper tones, a proper serif for book titles, and no clutter. Stow is meant to feel like the endpapers of a book rather than another bright app fighting for your attention.
