In short
Sutre: Prayer Lock & Times locks the distracting apps you choose at each prayer time and unlocks them once you have prayed. Camera verification is optional, with all processing kept on the device, and a tap-to-confirm option is available instead. It also includes prayer times, a qibla compass, a tasbih counter and daily verses for Muslims who want to keep prayer free of phone distractions.
Summary by Debuts, based on the App Store listing.About
A sutra is the barrier a Muslim places in front of them before praying, so that no one walks through and breaks their concentration. Sutre does the same thing for your phone. When the prayer time arrives, your distracting apps lock. To unlock them, you pray. If you want, verify it with the camera: your movements are recognised on your device and your rakats are counted. No frame ever leaves your phone, and nothing is stored. If you would rather not use the camera, "I've prayed" sits one tap away on every screen — no explanation asked, no judgment. Sutre is a commitment device, not a warden.
APP LOCKING Choose the apps that distract you. They lock when each prayer time arrives and open again once you've prayed.
PRAYER TIMES Calculated for your location, with the next prayer and a live countdown. Works offline, no sign-up needed.
QIBLA A glass compass over night photography, with a gold needle and the bearing and distance to Makkah.
TASBIH A large tap counter with ring progress. Targets of 33, 66 or 99, with round counts and haptics.
VERSE OF THE DAY One verse each day — in Arabic with a translation and its reference.
WIDGETS Prayer times and countdown, Hijri date, dua, qibla direction and tasbih, all on your home screen.
SUBSCRIPTION Sutre is available with a monthly or a yearly subscription. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends. • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. • Manage or cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
PRIVACY Camera frames never leave your device and are never stored. Your location is used on-device only, to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction.
A barrier around your prayer.
