In short

Talk Kindly is a lifestyle app that guides two adults through a timed, turn-taking conversation at home, using one phone and a talking stick. It is aimed at couples or housemates who need a structured way to discuss hard topics. It stands out for having no account, storing nothing that is said, and offering a one-time purchase instead of a subscription.

About

Talk Kindly turns a hard conversation into a short ritual for two adults at home.

Sit together with one phone between you. Agree on a few fair-talking rules. Take turns with a talking stick, so one person speaks while the other listens. When the time you chose is up, each of you names three things you appreciate. Then pick when you will talk again, and add it to your calendar if you want.

The clock stays quiet. It fades away, then returns gently, and stays up for the last minute. A turn can run long. Nothing cuts the speaker off. The app is silent during the talk. A short melody can play at the end, and you can turn that off.

One phone is enough. If you want, a second phone in the same room can share the same timer. Nothing you say is typed in or saved. There is no account.

The download is free, and that ritual stays free. Talk Kindly Plus is a one-time purchase for more guides, a reflect-back pause, your own rules, and a few saved setups. One purchase covers both people on that phone. Talk Kindly Pro is a one-time purchase for therapists. It includes Plus, and adds several private pairs, more setups, neutral wording, and a clock that stays visible. There is no subscription.

Talk Kindly is a structure for a conversation. It is not therapy, not medical care, and not the right tool if someone is unsafe.
