About
*** NOW WITH CARPLAY ***
Find the cheapest fuel from the comfort of your driver's seat.
Fuel Finder on CarPlay puts the cheapest, nearest and your favourite stations on the car screen, plus Settings so you can change distance, units, fuel type and older-price handling without picking up your phone. Up to five pins on each map, colour-coded against the other prices in range, with the price per litre, distance, driving time and whether the station is open. Tap Directions and Apple Maps takes over on the car display.
THIS WILL SAVE YOU MONEY.
Fuel prices can swing by 10-20p a litre between garages just a few miles apart — that's £5-£10 extra every time you fill up, for no reason. Fuel Finder shows where petrol, diesel and premium are cheapest right now. Live prices come from the UK Government Fuel Finder service.
PLAN IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE Search near you, or search any UK place or postcode. Set a route and Fuel Finder scans prices along the whole journey, not just near home. Widen or narrow the corridor so the cheapest stop is one you are already driving past.
ONCE YOU ARE MOVING Drive Mode on iPhone shows the 2 nearest and 2 cheapest stations in range as soon as there is a GPS fix. Each row shows driving distance, a compass direction once a heading is available, open/closed status and how the price compares with the average from your search. Set it up before you pull away, then glance rather than tap.
ALSO INCLUDED • List and map, sorted by price or distance • Three months of price history on every station, with the low, the high and the change • Favourite stations, places and routes • Filters for brand, fuel type and maximum price, or a max price that follows the live average • Choose how old a price can be, from 1 to 90 days. Exclude older prices, or keep them with a warning • Miles or kilometres • Opening hours and facility icons from operator data, with gaps filled from OpenStreetMap • Directions in Apple Maps, or in Google Maps, Waze, TomTom GO or Citymapper when those apps are installed • Electric is listed and shows that charger prices are not yet supported
CARPLAY • Cheapest — the lowest prices in range • Nearest — the shortest drives in range • Favourites — your saved stations, cheapest first • Settings — change distance, units, fuel type and older-price handling, then refresh from the car's GPS • Green, amber and red pins — the cheapest quarter, the middle and the dearest quarter of prices in range. Grey when a price is older than your limit and you have chosen to show it • Directions open in Apple Maps on the car screen
