Timeline Upright turns scanned photos the right way up automatically, and tells you the moment one needs to be scanned again.
Feed a stack of family photos through a sheet-fed scanner and some come out sideways or upside down, because not every print goes in the same way round. Now and then a print also goes through crooked, the scanner's automatic crop misses, and the scan keeps a gray border of scanner background around the picture. Often you only find out later, when that print is already back in the box.
WATCH WHILE YOU SCAN Choose the folder your scanner saves to and press Start watching. Each new scan is turned the right way up a second or two after it arrives. If a scan's automatic crop missed and the gray scanner background is showing, Timeline Upright plays a chime, shows a notification with the photo, and puts a card on the screen, so you can feed that print again while it is still on top of the pile. Keep the scan, or move it to the Trash.
FIX A FOLDER OF OLD SCANS Already have a folder of scans? Choose it, and every photo in it is checked and turned the right way up, with a summary at the end and a card for each scan worth redoing.
MADE FOR THE WAY SCANNERS SAVE - A photo's back and its enhanced copy are turned together with it - Photos are saved where they are, in their own format and at their own quality, with their dates and other details kept - Nothing is cropped or renamed - When it cannot tell which way a photo should face, it leaves the photo alone and asks you - Works with any scanner that saves JPEG, TIFF, PNG or BMP files into a folder. It was made for the Epson FastFoto FF-680W
EASY ON THE EYES Large text and large buttons, a Text size setting, and a low two-note chime you can hear across the room.
PRIVATE AND FREE Everything happens on your Mac. Your photos are never uploaded, there is no account and no sign-in, and Timeline Upright is free.
