In short

UsageKit is a Mac utility that shows a small on-screen ring for each AI coding assistant, including Claude, Codex, Cursor, Grok and Aside, so you can see remaining limits and reset times. It is for people who use these assistants on their desktop and want to avoid hitting a limit mid-task. It stands out for keeping no account, server or analytics, and storing tokens in the Mac Keychain.

About

UsageKit keeps a small ring on screen for each AI coding assistant, so you always know how much of your limit is left before you hit it in the middle of a task.

A slim strip docks to the edge of your screen and shows one ring per assistant. Click it to open a panel with every limit window, your plan and the exact time each limit resets. Prefer the menu bar? Switch to menu bar mode.

SUPPORTED ASSISTANTS • Claude — 5-hour session and weekly limits • Codex — 5-hour session and weekly limits • Cursor — monthly usage • Grok — weekly or monthly credits • Aside — monthly usage

HOW IT SIGNS IN • If you already use Codex, Grok, Aside or Cursor on this Mac, allow UsageKit to read your home folder once and it picks up the sign-in they saved (read-only — it never changes their files) • Or sign in to Claude and Codex directly from UsageKit; it keeps its own session and refreshes it before it expires

MADE FOR YOUR DESKTOP • Dock the strip to any edge of any display and drag it anywhere • Warning colors as a limit gets close, with optional notifications • Choose which assistants to show and in what order • Launch at login, English and Korean interface

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no server, no analytics, no ads • Tokens stay in your Mac's Keychain • UsageKit talks only to the services you use, and only to read your usage

UsageKit is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Anysphere, xAI or Aside. You need your own account with each service you want to track.
