WiFi Snap: Scan & Speed Test

Connect to Wi-Fi and check your internet speed in one app. WiFi Snap helps you read Wi-Fi details from a photo instead of typing a long password, then test the connection you use.

• Photograph a sign and choose your Wi-Fi Read router labels, café signs and Wi-Fi QR codes from the camera or a selected photo. Processing stays on your device. Choose the network yourself when several names are found.

• See exactly what was read Highlighted areas show the QR code, network name and password. Enlarge the photo and correct the details before requesting to join. Spaces in photo-read passwords are removed by default; you can edit the password. Original captures can also be saved to Photos with your permission.

• Check the connection After you check the details and request to join, iOS asks for approval. Configuration request processing, the selected Wi-Fi connection and internet communication are reported separately.

• Test internet speed Measure download and upload Mbps and HTTP response time on Wi-Fi, LTE or 5G. Read the dial and 4K/FHD streaming guidance, reset or test again. Cancelling, changing tabs or backgrounding stops the test.

• Recent Wi-Fi and favorites in My Up to 10 recognized networks are saved automatically in Recent. Star favorites to keep them in My, then edit, delete or reuse them. View the QR directly in the detail screen and save edits with the top Save button. Details stay in this device's Keychain.

• Save a place and see it on a map Allow location access in the review screen to save the current location automatically. Tap a saved location for a larger map. There is no continuous tracking, and Wi-Fi recognition and joining remain available without location permission.

• Share with friends Show a Wi-Fi QR code, send SSID/password as readable text, or share one friend link. An updated installed app opens the editable Wi-Fi review screen; otherwise the link leads to the App Store. After installing, tap the original link again. Your friend must still request to join and approve through iOS. Share passwords only with people you trust.

• Quick access Use Shortcuts or add Wi-Fi capture and Speed test controls to Control Center on iOS 18 or later. Opening Speed test does not start a measurement automatically.

Available in Korean, English and Japanese. No login or ads. Photo recognition runs on your device. Diagnostics are sent only when you submit a problem report. If you choose to include recognition evidence, the Wi-Fi name and a photo region you review and attach are also sent to Supabase and retained privately for 30 days before deletion. Password fields, complete OCR text and saved locations are not sent. Speed tests use Cloudflare's public servers, which may process IP addresses and connection information under their privacy policy.

Please note • Recognition depends on photo quality. The Wi-Fi must be nearby and iOS approval is required. Supports personal Wi-Fi networks; enterprise, WEP and separate web sign-in are not handled automatically. • A speed test uses up to about 45MB. Mobile data charges may apply. Results measure HTTP transfer to the test server, not your plan's maximum speed or guaranteed uninterrupted playback. Results are not saved. • Delete saved details in Recent or My and captured photos in Photos.
