Why we expect it: A thoughtful, honest habit app with a clear daily ritual, kind handling of slips, and strong Apple Watch support makes it a promising debut.

About

Zarok is not a day counter. It's a word you give yourself for a set term — 7, 14, 30 or 90 days — and keep. No sweets, no cigarettes, no scrolling till dawn, no late coffee — or a vow of your own: what to fight is up to you. Every vow ends, and the ending is honest — we'll tell you how it went.

HOW IT WORKS

One question a day. In the morning Ember reminds you the vow is on; in the evening it asks: did you hold? One tap to answer, and the day is closed. No reports, no ticking boxes ten times a day.

Ember is with you. A small fire that grows with your days: spark, flicker, flame, bonfire, beacon. Ember is the one writing to you, and you pick its character: gentle, sergeant or sassy — whatever helps you.

When it gets hard, there's a button. Three minutes, breathing, and a reminder of why you started. You can breathe on your Apple Watch too — no need to reach for your phone. Riding it out is a win too, and it counts.

GOOD TO KNOW

A slip is not a failure. It breaks the streak, but it doesn't erase the road behind you: the days you held stay yours, and the vow still runs to the end. You won't have to start over from day one.

A missed evening is not a slip. No answer at night? In the morning we'll ask about yesterday — or you can mark or fix yesterday yourself in the vow's calendar. Silence never counts as a slip: we don't know what happened, and we won't guess.

WHAT ELSE IS INSIDE

• The whole vow as a calendar — see the full road • A journal: a line a day, whenever you feel like writing a thought down • Slip insights — what trips you up most often: stress, company, boredom, autopilot • Sixteen awards for real milestones • A Home Screen widget — answer the evening question without opening the app • Apple Watch: all your vows at hand — mark the day and breathe through a craving right from your wrist. And a vow on your watch face • Two notifications a day, morning and evening. More only if you set it up

YOURS ONLY

Your vows, answers and notes live on your phone. No account, no server, no analytics. We physically can't see what you write.
