Kort fortalt

Bir Ayet is a lifestyle app that shows one verse from the 1935-39 Turkish translation by Elmalılı Muhammed Hamdi Yazır, chosen for a feeling you pick, such as weary, hurt, grateful, or uncertain. It keeps a private journal on the device with no account, no ads, and no tracking, and it works offline. Its standout feature is that the verses stay in the translator's original older Turkish, shown only in Turkish.

Om appen

Bir Ayet keeps you company as you seek comfort in a single verse about how you feel today.

Turn the prayer beads and pick whatever is on your mind weary, hurt, grateful, uncertain. The app shows one of the verses selected for that state. One verse. No list, no feed, no endless scrolling.

Your choice is written to your journal. Over time you can look back and see what you felt on a given day and which verse you read.

Any verse can become a shareable card, and you can save it to Photos.

ABOUT THE TRANSLATION Verses are shown in Turkish only. Verse texts come from the original 1935-39 Turkish translation by Elmalılı Muhammed Hamdi Yazır. The text is untouched: every line on a card is a continuous passage in the translator's own words. Its language is older than today's Turkish, and that is a deliberate choice.
