Colemak Keys

Colemak brings the layout you type on your computer to your iPhone, without giving up the feel of the iPhone keyboard. Same key sizes, same colors, same press balloons. Only the letters move.

LOOKS AND FEELS NATIVE • Key sizes, gaps, colors and corners measured from the iOS 26 keyboard • Light and dark, and the dark keyboard when an app asks for it • Press balloons and a touch area with no dead zones between keys

THE TOUCHES YOU KNOW • Tap shift once for a capital, double-tap for caps lock • Touch and hold a letter for accents like é and ñ • Touch and hold the space bar to move the cursor • Tap the space bar twice to end a sentence • Hold backspace to keep deleting • Fast typing with rollover, so overlapping taps all count

EVERY FIELD • 123 and #+= layers laid out like the iPhone • @ and . keys in email fields, / and .com in web addresses • The return key shows Go, Search, Send or Done, like the field asks

EASY TO SET UP The app walks you through turning the keyboard on, shows the layout and gives you a field to try it in.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Colemak doesn't ask for Full Access, so iOS keeps it offline and apart from other apps. No account, no tracking, nothing stored. What you type stays on your iPhone.

Colemak is a keyboard layout by Shai Coleman. This app is an independent implementation and isn't affiliated with the Colemak project. Dictation and the emoji key aren't available to third-party keyboards; switch with the globe key when you need them.
