Kort fortalt
Deseret Alphabet Trainer is an education app for iPhone and iPad that teaches the 38-letter Deseret script through short games. Its activities include matching letters to sounds, writing letters, setting type, reading under time pressure, and reading short stories in the script. It is aimed at Latter-day Saint and Utah history audiences, and it stands out for its pioneer-life framing, which turns the alphabet into games rather than a worksheet.

Learn the pioneer alphabet in a handful of short games.
The Deseret Alphabet was a real 38-letter English script from the 1850s, built so children and new Saints could learn to read faster. It showed up in primers, the Deseret News, and an 1869 Book of Mormon, then mostly faded. This is a small collection of games that teach it through pioneer life, not a worksheet.
Included activities: • Beehive Builder: match glyphs to sounds • Copybook: write the letters • Print Shop: set type in Deseret • Miracle of the Gulls: read under pressure • Deseret Reader: short stories in the script
Built for iPhone and iPad. Made by Dez Games for Latter-day Saint and Utah history audiences who want to actually use the alphabet, not only read about it.
