MD Inventory

A Matter device has been reset, and its setup code is stuck behind a cover, underneath the device, or on packaging that went out long ago. That is the moment MD Inventory is made for: it keeps the setup codes of every Matter device in your home — securely, offline, and always at hand.

ADD • Scan the QR code on the label or type in the manual code • Vendor ID, product ID, discriminator and passcode are derived from the QR code, never typed by hand • Add room, manufacturer, model, firmware and notes — such as where the label is • Import and export your inventory as CSV

FIND • All devices in one list or grouped by room, with search • Show the label full-screen so another controller can scan it • Verify a device: scan its label and compare it with the stored entry

HOME ASSISTANT • Sign in to Home Assistant on your home network • Take name, room, manufacturer and model from Home Assistant • Pair devices right from the app

SECURE • The entire database is encrypted with your password (SQLCipher, AES-256) • Unlock with Face ID or Touch ID, automatic lock when idle • Screenshot protection, clipboard that clears itself • No ads, no analytics, no accounts, no server of our own

IPHONE AND IPAD • Encrypted backup in your iCloud Drive • Several devices with the same Apple ID keep their inventory in sync • On iPad: list and device side by side

Important: there is no password recovery. If you forget it, the data can no longer be opened — not even from the backup.
