Music Tools: Chord Detector analyzes your own recordings or imported audio files to find chord changes, key and tempo, shown as a chord chart that plays along with the audio. It runs on the iPhone with no account, cloud upload or tracking, and includes a chromatic tuner, metronome and a songbook for saved analyses. A notable point is that chord estimates can be corrected by hand, and the chart can be transposed or shown with capo positions and guitar, ukulele or piano diagrams.

Music Tools turns your own audio recordings and imported files into a chord chart you can play along with. Record with the microphone, import from Files or share a recording from Voice Memos. Analysis runs on your iPhone, without an account or a cloud upload.
FIND THE CHORDS • Detect chord changes, estimate the musical key and tempo. • Follow the chord timeline while the recording plays. • Check confidence indicators and correct a chord when the estimate needs help. • Try the included demo before allowing microphone access.

Recognition is an estimate: instrumentation, background noise and complex arrangements can affect results. Clear recordings of guitar or piano are a good starting point. Melody and lyric recognition may need correction; installed language support is required for speech recognition. The app does not download or decrypt protected music streams. Import only audio you have the right to use.
