Nomi: Baby Names Generator

Find a baby name that sounds right with your last name.

Firstly is a baby names generator that starts from your family name. Answer a few quick questions, then swipe through beautiful baby names picked for your family: swipe right to love a name, left to see it again later.

HOW IT WORKS • Enter your last name, the country your baby will grow up in, and girl, boy or "we don't know yet" • Choose a style: popular, modern, classic or rare • Pick local names or names that travel well internationally • Already chose a first name? Firstly finds the second one that goes with it • Have an older child? Get names that suit a sibling too: same generation, never too alike

A BABY NAME MATCHER, NOT A RANDOM LIST Every name gets a match score for how it sounds next to your last name: syllables, endings and flow. The more you swipe, the better Firstly learns your taste and reorders the names you haven't seen yet.

EVERYTHING ABOUT EACH NAME • Meaning and origin • Popularity from official birth statistics • Name day, where your country celebrates one • Hear the full name said out loud

YOUR SHORTLIST • Favorites saved for every search • Share a beautiful card with your partner or family • Come back to any search later and pick up where you left off

REAL NAMES, REAL DATA Over 60,000 real names across 32 countries in Europe, the Americas and Oceania. Popularity comes from official newborn-name statistics (Social Security Administration, Office for National Statistics, INSEE, Istat, Statistics Canada and more) and open datasets. No made-up names.

Whether you're expecting or just dreaming about future baby names, Firstly helps you find the one.
