Nordic Tales is an education app that lets families share illustrated Nordic fairy tales, myths and legends, with audio narration in English and side-by-side reading in two languages. It is aimed at children from ages 4 to 10 and older, with three reading levels and up to four child profiles per parent account. The app contains no ads, tracking or analytics.

Nordic Tales is for families who want to read together and explore Nordic fairy tales, myths and legends.

Share an illustrated story, listen to a narrator, and talk about what happens next. Three reading levels let your family choose the telling that fits each reader: - Easy: ages 4-6 - Medium: ages 7-9 - Advanced: ages 10+

READ IN TWO LANGUAGES Read in English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and many other languages. Show two languages side by side to explore familiar words and new ones together. Audio narration is available in English.

KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING After each story, try the quiz and use the "Talk together" questions to discuss the characters, choices and ideas. Explore the map to see where the stories come from.

A PLACE FOR EACH READER Create up to four child profiles on one parent account, with a nickname, a preset avatar and an age group. Each profile keeps its own reading progress and choices. Accounts belong to a parent aged 18 or over.

START WITH TWO FREE STORIES Two stories are free for everyone. The rest of the library and the narration require membership. Existing members can sign in with an email link, Sign in with Apple or Google. Schools can use a class code.

READ WITHOUT ADVERTISING There are no ads, tracking, analytics or crash reporting in the app. Child profiles do not need an email address or date of birth. You can delete your account in Profile > Delete account.
