Orch-OR is the Penrose–Hameroff proposal that consciousness arises from quantum events inside the microtubules of neurons. This app turns the theory into something you can run, poke, and argue with.

Watch superposition (violet) seed, spread by orchestration, and collapse in a flash of objective reduction. • Live physics — gravitational self-energy E_G, the Diósi–Penrose collapse time τ = ħ/E_G, and the running ∫E_G dt → ħ that triggers each event, calibrated to Hameroff & Penrose (2014). • Timeline — coherence over time and every collapse event, with the event rate compared to 40 Hz gamma synchrony. • Decoherence switch — turn on environmental decoherence at Tegmark's 10⁻¹³ s or Hagan et al.'s 10⁻⁴ s and see whether coherence ever survives long enough. The simulation is a teaching model, not a physical one. Orch-OR is a minority view in neuroscience, and the app says so. It exists because the theory makes concrete, falsifiable numerical claims, and those are worth being able to compute.
