This app turns six measurements into the number that actually describes how a room will feel. Every modern comfort standard still comes back to Fanger's predicted mean vote: a seven-point scale running from cold to hot. This app implements the full ISO 7730 heat-balance model. Air temperature, mean radiant temperature, air speed, humidity, activity and clothing are resolved together into PMV and into the share of occupants predicted to be dissatisfied — with the clothing surface temperature solved iteratively from the body's own heat balance rather than approximated away. Lab is the workbench. Move any input — air speed, metabolic rate, a different garment from the ISO 9920 catalogue — and PMV, PPD, the operative temperature and all six terms of your personal heat budget update together. Seek runs the model backwards. Rather than asking how a space feels, ask what it needs: This app solves for the air temperature that reaches neutral, or for the edges of the ±0.5 band behind EN 16798-1 Categories A, B and C. If the thermostat is not yours to move, it solves for the clothing level or air speed that gets there instead. Local remembers that whole-body comfort is not the whole story. Draught rate, vertical temperature difference, floor temperature and radiant asymmetry are each scored against their own Category B and C limits — a room can sit at exactly PMV 0 and still fail badly on a cold floor. Log keeps what the model predicted beside how the room actually felt, with a photo if useful. Scenarios save, units switch between metric and imperial, and any assessment exports as a two-page PDF report. No account, no network, no analytics. Everything is computed on-device and stays on-device — which also means it works fine in the plant room.
