Wave Islands

Wave Islands is a hands-on physics education app for children and families, in English and Simplified Chinese.

Explore 18 chapters and 54 guided activities on an interactive island map. Send ripples across a pond, find a spring flower's favourite rhythm, investigate refraction and total reflection, and focus light with mirrors and lenses. Each experiment begins with a question and a clear action.

Rotate three-dimensional electron clouds, including d orbitals. Combine states, watch a light pulse drive an atom, and explore molecular patterns, bond distance and vibration. Continue into matter waves, condensates, quantum correlations and small quantum circuits. In Echo Music Garden, teach a classical wave reservoir the opening of Twinkle and see how waves and learned weights predict the next note.

Playground offers open experiments with sources, boundaries and prepared setups. Pause, compare and save your discoveries. Optional Read more pages explain the models, their approximations and original references. Younger explorers can learn alongside a grown-up.

• Paid download with no subscription or in-app purchases. • Experiments and explanations work offline, without an account. • No advertising, tracking or analytics. • Adjustable sounds and optional audio linked to experiment readings. • Progress and creations stay on your device.

Export pictures and recipes through system tools. Nothing is posted automatically. Optional references open in the system browser and need internet access.
