Drum Flow Soaking

Every hide lot has a journey. Keep the soaking details together from start to release. Begin with the material type, number of pieces, and recorded batch weight. Give the batch its own drum assignment and soaking recipe. Set a planned water volume before processing begins. Lay out the intended soak duration and expected release point. Preparation ahead? Put the task on your reminder list. During the run, capture each check as a dated activity entry. For added water, note what went in and when. When a batch changes drums, preserve the transfer detail. Timing revised? Record the change in the batch trail. Keep short observations beside the activity they describe. See which batches are approaching their planned release. At completion, enter the actual finish time for the record. Move from an active run to its earlier history without scattered notebooks. Place planned water amounts beside logged additions for review. Look over recorded soaking durations across completed work. Explore drum use through the batches you have entered. Compare planned schedules to spot possible overlaps. Trace a run back to its lot, recipe, drum, and activity notes. Find key quantities and progress details with fewer steps. Keep preparation, checks, handoffs, and release in one workflow. The information is supplied by you, not collected from live equipment. Drum Flow Soaking helps document work; it does not operate drums or certify hide quality.
