FlitFind

Windows users have Everything. Mac users finally have FlitFind — type and it's there, lightning-fast. And it goes further than filenames: search inside your documents, from a clause in a contract to a line in a paper.

[WHY FLITFIND] • Everything-class instant search: in-memory index, results update with every keystroke — no Enter, no spinner • Beyond filenames: full-text inside PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WPS • More precise than Spotlight: wildcards, regex, boolean, filter by extension/size/date • Pinyin: find Chinese filenames by full pinyin or initials

[CONTENT INDEX · SUPPORTED FORMATS] PDF · Word (doc/docx) · Excel (xls/xlsx) · PowerPoint (ppt/pptx) · WPS · RTF · OpenDocument (odt/ods/odp) · Markdown/plain text · code & config (100+ extensions: Swift, Python, Java, JS, HTML, JSON, YAML, CSV, logs…)

[LIGHTNING FAST] • Instant-as-you-type results • Live incremental updates as files change — the index is always fresh, never rebuilt

[EXTRAS] Quick Look, highlighted preview, duplicate finder, CSV export, global hotkey (⌥Space), launch at login

[PRIVACY FIRST] Fully local index: no network entitlement, no collection, no upload. Your files stay yours.

Note: due to App Store sandboxing, FlitFind indexes only folders you explicitly grant access to (multiple supported; grants persist across launches).
