Gateway Arcana

Gateway Arcana is a Tarot study and reading workspace for iPhone and iPad, with a 78-card Tarot reference and 15 complete Oracle decks containing 660 cards.

LEARN AND EXPLORE Study all 78 Tarot cards with upright and reversed meanings, keywords, symbols and reflection prompts. Search by theme, study by suit, try quizzes, compare cards and follow the Fool’s Journey. Practice is optional, with no streaks or lesson locks.

Browse 15 Oracle collections, each with 44 illustrated cards and upright meanings. The newest collections are The Wildwood Accord, The Incised Message, Light Language Oracle, and The Unquiet: A Haunting Oracle. Each new card includes a full authored meaning, six keywords and a reflection question. Oracle reference browsing stays separate from Tarot quizzes and study progress.

READ YOUR WAY Choose built-in spreads, create a custom spread, draw cards in the app or enter cards from your physical deck. Open Table lets you place up to 12 cards freely, move and rotate them, reveal them and change Tarot orientation. Add position or whole-reading clarifiers and your own interpretation. Oracle readings use upright meanings.

DAILY REFLECTION Keep individual Daily Cards or create a Daily Pull using one deck or a mix of decks. Reopen today’s saved cards and continue your writing without drawing again.

BRING YOUR OWN DECK Add personal card photos or scans and map them to the reference cards, or create a personal Oracle deck with your own cards and groups. Artwork choices do not change Tarot meanings or study progress.

KEEP YOUR JOURNAL Save readings, questions, card notes and Daily Card reflections. Share a reading image or export readable writing. Optional Gateway Log transfers include available original card photos, reference meanings and your writing. Importing the four newest Oracle collections requires a compatible Gateway Log release. Your originals stay in Arcana, and missing photos are disclosed.

LOCAL BY DEFAULT No app account, advertising, tracking or embedded AI. Optional private iCloud Sync synchronizes supported study progress, readings, Journal entries, preferences, custom spreads and personal deck artwork. Practice answers and Fool’s Journey progress stay local and are included in app data backups. Deck artwork has its own Deck Library backup.

The included Apple Watch companion offers Card of the Day, quick study and card pulls. Requires iOS 17 or later.

Tarot and Oracle cards are for reflection and education. Gateway Arcana does not provide medical, legal, financial or professional advice.
