HandoverVault

Snag lists that prove the work was done.

HandoverVault is a site handover and defect inspection app for builders, tradies and site supervisors. Walk the site, photograph every defect, mark it up, assign it to the right trade, then hand your client a signed, branded report — all from your iPhone or iPad.

BEFORE AND AFTER, NOT JUST A LIST OF COMPLAINTS Every defect keeps two sets of photos: the problem as you found it, and the rectification once it's fixed. Your report lays them side by side, so your client sees the proof, not just the problem.

SEND EACH TRADE ONLY THEIR ITEMS Assign defects to your saved contacts, then filter the list by trade. Export an extract for one subcontractor and the plumber gets his eight items, not all ninety-four. Every extract is clearly marked as partial, so it's never mistaken for the full handover.

PHOTOS THAT HOLD UP IN A REPORT • Unlimited photos on every defect • Import from your library in the exact order you tap them • Draw arrows, boxes and freehand notes to point straight at the problem • Markup is kept separately, so your original photo is never altered

REPORTS YOUR CLIENTS WILL ACTUALLY READ • Branded PDF with your logo and business details • CSV export for spreadsheets, with photos bundled if you want them • Summary page with counts by status and priority • A priority and status legend on every report, so the colour-coding still makes sense in a black-and-white print • Rename terms throughout with custom wordings • A4 or US Letter, matched to your region and changeable any time

SIGN-OFF ON THE SPOT Capture your client's signature on the device at handover. Save your own signature once and reuse it on every job.

BUILT FOR THE SITE, NOT THE OFFICE • Search every defect by title, notes or location • Filter by status and by trade, including everything still unassigned • Mark defects open, in progress or resolved, one at a time or in bulk • Resolved dates are recorded automatically, and you're prompted if you close a defect without a rectification photo • Due dates on any item

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE No account, no sign-up, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing you create is ever uploaded. Back up your whole vault to a single file you keep in Files, iCloud Drive or email, and restore it on a new device whenever you need to.

FREE TO TRY. ONE PAYMENT. NO SUBSCRIPTION. Create unlimited projects, defects and photos for free, and use every feature during your 7-day trial. After that, a single one-time purchase unlocks sharing finished reports. No monthly fees, no per-user pricing, no renewals. Backups always stay free.

Made for builders, tradies, site supervisors, project managers, property managers and building inspectors — anyone who needs to find defects, get them fixed, and prove it.
