On a Mac, browsers and many call apps ignore the AirPods mute press. Muffle makes it work everywhere. During a call, press the stem once to mute and again to unmute, in Chrome, Safari, Zoom, Teams, Slack, FaceTime or any other app.

Muffle turns the microphone itself off at the hardware level, so the other side hears nothing, whatever app you use.
