Info
Multiplay is practice for the multiplication tables from 1 to 10, until the answers come without counting.
Every game is the same task in a new setting: find the right answer among decoys. The decoys are the mistakes children usually make, like 48 or 49 for 7 × 6.
SAFE FOR CHILDREN Multiplay collects no data at all and shares nothing with third parties. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no in-app purchases and no links out of the game. Everything the child does stays on the device and can be erased in the settings.
TEN GAMES • Temple Tiles: step only on the right tile. • Maze Munch: collect a whole table in order while a monster roams the maze. • Balloon Flap: fly into the right balloon. • Sunset Sprint: the right answer is a boost, a wrong one a spin. • Rickety Climb: only the right ladder holds. • Beat Blades: strike the right drum on the beat. • Downhill Dash: take the right way down the hill. • Alley Run: a new task behind every window. • Dig Deep: dig your way to the right number. • Tile Rush: the final exam, faster for every right answer.
HOW A CHILD PRACTISES • One table at a time, in three steps: in order, backwards, then mixed. • A wrong answer costs a life and gives a new try. The answer is never shown. The child works it out. • The game remembers every fact. Missed and slow facts come back more often. • A round takes one to three minutes. • Everything is played with one finger.
CRAFTS: PAINT BY NUMBERS A calm mode beside the games, for children who would rather craft than play. A picture grows square by square. Every square shows a multiplication, like 7 × 6, and the child paints it with the pot that holds the answer: each colour is a table and each shade is an answer. There are no lives, no clock and no score. A wrong pot costs nothing and the answer is never shown, but the bear can count the groups together with the child. Twenty pictures in five rooms open as the child finishes them. Facts the bear helped with are kept apart in the report.
THE BEAR'S WORKSHOP Eleven discoveries about what multiplication is: equal groups, rows and columns, turning 3 × 5 into 5 × 3, doubling, and using ten. The child builds with baskets and trays, and the bear asks questions. There are no lives and no time pressure. The bear speaks English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Icelandic.
FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS • A report shows the facts missed most, the facts that are right but slow, and the tables that go well. • Achievements show what is done and what is left. • No data is collected and nothing is shared with third parties. All progress stays on the device. • No account, no sign-in and no ads. • Works without a network.
For ages 7 to 10. Made for iPad. On iPhone some of the games might be hard to navigate well. Use at your own risk.
The menus are in six languages. The games' names, the report and the achievements are in English.
