Petersaint

Petersaint keeps your photos, videos, documents and notes in an encrypted vault on your iPhone, opened only by a pattern you draw.

ENCRYPTED ON YOUR PHONE Every file is encrypted with AES-256. The key is protected by your iPhone's Secure Enclave, so the vault can only be opened on this phone. Your files never leave it: no account, no cloud, no server.

A WRONG PATTERN DESTROYS THE KEY After five wrong patterns in a row (or three, or ten, or just one in single-strike mode) the key is destroyed, making the files unrecoverable. There is no recovery and no backup, by design. Please choose a pattern you will remember.

DURESS PATTERN (PRO) Set a second pattern. If someone makes you open the vault, draw it instead: the key is destroyed and an empty vault opens, as if Petersaint had just been installed.

BRING FILES IN YOUR WAY • Photos and videos from your library, with the option to delete the originals afterwards • Any file from the Files app • Share straight into the vault from other apps, even while it is locked • Take photos with the in-app camera: they go straight into the vault and never reach your camera roll

VIEW WITHOUT LEAVING THE VAULT Photos, videos, audio, PDFs and text open inside Petersaint, decrypted in memory, not to a file. Organise everything into folders. Export a copy only when you draw your pattern again, or turn export off completely.

DISCREET • The screen is hidden in the app switcher and during screen recording • Locks the moment you leave (or after a minute or five, if you prefer) • Pro: change the Home Screen icon to one of eight plain icons, such as a calculator, notes or a chef's hat • Pro: a step-by-step guide to a Home Screen shortcut with any name and picture that opens Petersaint

WHAT IT PROTECTS AGAINST Petersaint protects your files if someone has your unlocked phone, and against the app's files being copied off the phone. It cannot protect against someone watching or filming you draw the pattern, or malware on a jailbroken phone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Petersaint collects no data, has no analytics and makes no network connections. It is excluded from iCloud and computer backups, so your vault exists only on this iPhone.

PETERSAINT PRO One payment, no subscription. Pro adds the duress pattern, the disguise icons and the shortcut guide. Everything else is free. Pro stays with your Apple ID, even if the vault is destroyed.
