Quiddle

Quiddle helps independent shops in Headingley, Leeds publish short, sharp deals. Cafés, bakeries and shops publish deals in tiers: the first through the door get the best price, and every tier ends when its stock or its clock runs out. Bolt before it's gone.

HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the app to see available offers, sorted by ending soonest or biggest discount. Switch to the map to see participating shops. If there are no live offers, the app tells you. 2. Tap Claim. The live price is yours for two hours, from wherever you are. 3. Walk in. Scan the Quiddle QR code on the counter, show the screen to staff and pay the shop as normal.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT No delivery, no codes online. Every deal is redeemed in person, which is the whole point: the cafés stay busy and the high street stays alive. Prices step up as tiers sell out, so the quickest pay the least. Free for customers. Browse without an account, and when you claim you sign in with an emailed link: no password to remember. Your wallet keeps every claim, its countdown and its receipt, so the price you locked is on your screen at the till.
