spool: Audiobook Player

Spool is an audiobook player for people who own their books. Drop in M4B or MP3 files, connect your Audiobookshelf or Jellyfin server, and everything lands in one library. No store. No subscription to read what's already yours.

ONE LIBRARY FOR EVERYTHING YOU OWN • Audiobookshelf — progress and bookmarks sync with your server and every other client • Jellyfin — books split into one file per chapter are put back together automatically • Your own files — import M4B and MP3 from Files, AirDrop or Mail, with chapters and cover art read from the file • LibriVox — thousands of free public-domain audiobooks, no account needed

CONNECTING IS EASY • Type your server's address — or pick it from the servers spool finds on your network • spool works out the server type, port and https for you • Jellyfin Quick Connect: approve a code instead of typing a password

BUILT FOR LONG LISTENS • Chapters, with a scrubber that spans the chapter you're in and a list that shows what you've played • Speed from 0.5× to 3× in fine steps — remembered for each book, because every narrator is different • Sleep timer: by the minute with a gentle fade, or at the end of the chapter. Shake to start it over • Smart rewind replays a few seconds when you come back after a break — even the next morning • Up Next: finish a book and the next one in the series is a tap away (or starts on its own) • Bookmarks with notes, offline downloads, AirPlay, Lock Screen and Control Center controls • "Hey Siri, resume my audiobook in spool", a sleep timer by voice, and a Control Center button

EVERYWHERE YOU LISTEN • iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, with progress that follows you between them • Widgets that play and pause without opening the app (spool Pro) • Search your library — and find free classics you don't own yet

FREE, WITH AN OPTIONAL ONE-TIME PRO Free: one server, your own files, LibriVox, downloads, progress sync, sleep timer and the full player. spool Pro — one purchase, no subscription — adds: • Unlimited servers, side by side in one library • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets • Seven themes, each with a matching app icon • Listening stats: time per day, your streak and your most-played books
