Vimori: Adaptive Watch Face

Most watch face apps hand you a grid of pictures and leave the rest to you. Vimori starts somewhere else — with the readings already sitting in Health — and works out which dial your day actually calls for.

It reads heart rate variability, heart rate and last night's sleep, names where you are right now — Calm, Focused or Elevated — and puts forward a face that fits. Nothing on your wrist changes by itself: setting a face is always your tap.

WHY THIS ISN'T A GALLERY

• A state, not a mood board. The Today card shows the band you are in, the HRV figure behind it, and how long it has held there. • Today's adaptation. Six columns across the day, so you can see where the readings climbed and where they settled. • A suggested face, followed by alternatives — picked against the state, not shuffled. • Your signals, your switches. HRV, heart rate and sleep each have their own toggle in Settings. Switch one off and that query never runs again.

DIALS THAT ACTUALLY READ SOMETHING

Faces Vimori draws on your watch carry live readouts rather than printed decoration: temperature, conditions and humidity, sunrise and sunset, the moon phase, the hours ahead and the days after, plus steps, distance, active calories, heart rate, stand hours and move minutes.

BOTH KINDS OF FACES, PROPERLY HANDLED

Some faces are packages watchOS draws itself; others are drawn by the Vimori app on your watch. The two install along completely different routes, so Vimori ships a walkthrough for each, plus a third for keeping a drawn face on screen instead of letting the watch slip back to its own clock. Always On is a single switch, remembered across faces.

GETTING THERE

1. Allow Health access. Vimori reads your figures and never writes anything back. 2. Open Today for your current state and the face that suits it. 3. Browse Explore by category, search by name, keep the ones you like in Favorites. 4. Tap Set as watch face and watch the four steps run — prepare, send, replace, set.

A note on honesty: the bands are a starting point drawn from your own variability, not a medical reading, and Vimori says only what it can actually measure. If a face refuses to set, the app tells you why in plain words and hands you a way to write to us.
