Blockplan is the monthly calendar and lesson plan book for out-of-school-time programs: after-school, teen centers, summer camps, youth clubs and drop-in sites.
Write a plan once. Drop it on every day you run it. Print what your staff need.
TWENTY-TWO PLANS, ALREADY WRITTEN Blockplan opens with 22 complete, ready-to-run sessions: dodgeball, cooking club, cardboard arcade, egg drop, budgeting, community cleanup, open mic and more. Every field filled in, from materials and timings to cleanup. Use them as they are, edit them, or delete them. They are yours from the first launch.
PLAN THE MONTH A Monday to Friday calendar, because that is when programs run. Attach plans to days, keep notes for each day, and move between months. Copy a whole month forward or copy one week onto another, matched by weekday rather than by date, so a Wednesday club stays on Wednesdays.
WRITE PLANS ONCE A lesson plan lives in your library, not on a date. Attach it to twelve days and editing it once updates all twelve. Search finds anything you have typed into any plan.
TEMPLATES YOU CONTROL Three templates are built in, shaped for out-of-school-time rather than for classrooms: they ask how many staff an activity needs and what happens when the gym is taken. Copy one and change it, or build your own from scratch, with as many fields as you want in whatever order you want.
YOUR PROGRAM, NOT OURS Put your own name and logo at the top of every calendar, plan and packet. What you hand to staff, parents, a director or a funder looks like your program's document, because it is.
ONE SHOPPING LIST FOR THE WHOLE MONTH Every material every scheduled plan needs, on one page, with tick boxes, sorted for walking round a shop, saying which plan wants each item and on how many days.
PRINT WHAT YOU ACTUALLY HAND OUT - The month calendar, on one landscape page - A week at a glance, one landscape page for the staff board - A weekly staff packet: a cover sheet, then each plan on its own page - The month's shopping list - Any single plan, or a blank one to draft on paper - Your whole plan library
All of it as PDF or straight to AirPrint, on US Letter or A4. Blank fields print as "Not filled in" on purpose, so a substitute can see what was never decided instead of a gap they cannot tell from the end of the page.
SEND A PLAN FOR A SECOND LOOK A staff member can send a plan to their supervisor, who reads it, highlights any line and comments on it, then sends it back. The copy they review is frozen, so their notes stay attached to the exact wording they read even if you keep editing. It travels as a file over AirDrop, email or Files: no account and no server.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS No account. No subscription. No server. Everything is stored on your device. Export a backup any time, restore it onto a new iPad, or merge one staff member's library into another's without either of them losing work. Send a single plan to a colleague and they can drop it straight into their own library.
