Coin Finder: Value Checker

Coin Finder is a coin identifier and coin value checker that works from a photo. Photograph both sides of a coin and the coin scanner tells you what it is, where and when it was made, and what it may be worth.

IDENTIFY COINS BY PHOTO • Take a picture of the front and the back, or choose the photos from your library. • Get the coin's name, country and year, with a match score. • When the match is uncertain, Coin Finder says so and shows what else the coin could be. • Scan UK coins, British pre-decimal coins and old coins, as well as coins from India, Ireland, South Africa and the rest of the world, tokens and medals.

CHECK YOUR COIN VALUE • See an estimated value range in US dollars for each coin you scan. • Estimates take into account the coin, its date, its mint mark and the condition visible in your photos. • A realistic first answer to "what is my coin worth?" before you ask an expert.

COIN GRADING AND RARITY • An estimated grade on the scale collectors use, from Good to Mint State. • A rarity level, from common to very rare. • The known varieties and mint errors to look for on that type of coin, when there are any, so you know which rare coins and error coins deserve a closer look.
