Disk Gauge: System Data

Your Mac says System Data is taking 60 GB. It won't tell you what that is.

Disk Gauge measures your home folder and breaks the hidden parts into things with names: developer build output, simulator devices, package manager caches, app and browser caches, leftovers from apps you deleted months ago.

Every group says two things in plain English — what the files actually are, and what specifically happens if you remove them. Caches rebuild themselves. Some developer archives do not: delete those and you can no longer read crash reports from builds you already shipped. You are told which is which before you choose.

MEASURING IS FREE Scan as often as you like, without paying. You see exactly what is there first. Removal is unlocked with a single in-app purchase — one payment, no subscription, no renewal.

NOTHING IS DELETED Everything goes to the Trash. If you change your mind, put it back. Nothing is ever selected for you, and the app refuses to remove your home folder itself, top-level folders such as Documents and Desktop, or system folders.

BUILT FOR MACS THAT ARE ACTUALLY FULL Reads allocated size rather than file size, so sparse and compressed files are counted honestly. Counts hard links once. Never follows symlinks. Skips iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive folders — reading a placeholder file can make macOS download it, and a tool that fills your disk while measuring it is no use to anyone.

NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING No sign-in, no analytics, no data leaves your Mac. The only network connection the app makes is to Apple, to check your purchase.
