Foilborne

Foilborne records your hydrofoil and surf sessions on your Apple Watch and shows them on your iPhone: where you went, how fast, when the board was flying, and what carried it.

Start a session from the watch, or with the Action button on an Apple Watch Ultra, and ride. The watch records your track, speed, heart rate and motion, and saves the session to Apple Health as a workout. When it reaches your iPhone you get a notification, and the analysis is ready.

RECORDING IS FREE IN EVERY DISCIPLINE Prone, SUP, wing, kite, parawing, pump and dock start, tow and wake, surf, and eFoil or foil assist. The analysis of one discipline of your choice is free. Each of the others is a module you buy once, or get them all together. Family Sharing is supported.

WHAT EVERY SESSION SHOWS • The map and a replay of your ride, with the board's speed along the track • When you were flying and what carried the board, on a timeline • Distance, time on the foil, top speed, heart rate and energy • The wind and weather at the time of your ride, and the tide and current

WHAT EACH MODULE ADDS • Wing, kite and parawing: speed by wind angle as a polar, best VMG upwind and downwind, tacks and jibes, the wind worked out from your own track, and a wind dial on the replay • Prone: waves caught, ridden and linked, each with its time, distance and top speed, and the pumping back out • SUP: paddle-ups, bumps ridden and linked, and downwind runs ranked by speed, distance and VMG • Pump and dock start: starts, pump sets, cadence, metres per stroke, and the glides between • Tow and wake: wakes and waves ridden behind the boat or the ski, and how they were linked • Surf (no foil): waves caught and ridden, each ride's length and speed, turns, and paddling against waiting • eFoil and foil assist: connect your speed controller over Bluetooth for power, battery and Wh/km, the lift-off, what the motor was doing, and its faults

ON THE WATCH Large, glanceable speed, power and battery while you ride, controls that work with wet hands, and a tide page with the current tide, the next high and low, and the current where there is a station.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS There is no account and no analytics. Your sessions stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and you can export an unlocked session as GPX, or an eFoil session's controller log as a CSV for VESC Tool.

Requires an Apple Watch with watchOS 26 and an iPhone with iOS 26.
