Folio - private Journal

Folio is a journal that is, quite literally, a book.

Open the app and you are looking at the cover — your cover, in the leather and lettering you chose. Unlock it with Face ID or your password and the cover swings open to the page where you left off. Drag a page and it curls under your finger, with the rustle of paper. On a foldable or in landscape, the book opens flat into a two-page spread.

Made to be private • Every entry is encrypted on your device with a key protected by your password • No accounts, no cloud, no analytics — Folio never connects to the internet • Face ID / Touch ID unlock through the Secure Enclave • Auto-locks when you put it down

No Regrets Entries can be edited or removed for 24 hours. After that they become a permanent page of your journal — you can always read them, never rewrite them. A journal you can't quietly edit later is a journal you can trust.

Folio Plus: photos, stuck on • Take a photo or pick one from your library and stick it on the page like a real print • Drag it anywhere, pinch to resize, tilt it — then it's part of the page • Keep the habit: a daily reminder at the hour you choose (it never shows what you wrote), streaks and Insights, and a home-screen streak widget • Seasonal themes: Autumn 2026 (Harvest and Midnight Forest covers, Parchment and Maple papers, Chestnut ink) and Winter 2026 (Snowfall and Glacier covers, Frost and Ice papers, Glacier Blue ink) — new packs every year, and every pack you had while subscribed stays yours • Video: a clip stuck on the page (up to three minutes), plays right there • Voice memos: record a moment and tuck it into the page, tap to play • Photos, clips and memos are encrypted on your device, like everything else in Folio

Build your own • Seven leather covers (oxblood, navy, forest, saddle, charcoal, rose, plum), seven papers (ivory, ruled, grid, dotted, midnight, blush, lavender), seven inks • Name your journal — it's lettered on the cover • Text size that re-flows the ruled lines and pages to match • Haptics and paper sounds you can turn on or off

A real book • Finger-following page curl, single page or two-page spread • Long entries flow onto following pages • A title page, page numbers, a table of contents with search

Folio Plus is an auto-renewable yearly subscription: $9.99 per year after a 1-month free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and it can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings.
