MyHeavyPlantMate: Plant Checks

MyHeavyPlantMate keeps your construction and agricultural plant maintained, checked and in date: maintenance by engine hours, the daily pre-use check with defects, LOLER, PUWER and MOT, shifts and hours, fuel, documents, attachments, operators and hire tracking, in one place. For owner-operators, contractors and small hire firms.

Open the app and Home shows all your machines, their status (Do not use, on hire, reported stolen), what needs doing on each, and the next jobs coming due.

MAINTENANCE BY ENGINE HOURS • Set services by engine hours, by time, or both, whichever comes first • A clear status for every job: overdue, due soon or up to date • Hours-based jobs show a forecast date from how much the machine actually works • Ready-made jobs matched to the machine's type, engine and what's fitted (quick hitch, AdBlue, DPF, breaker circuit, cab), all yours to edit • A service log with the date, engine hours, cost, parts and notes

DAILY PRE-USE CHECKS AND DEFECTS • Every machine starts with the daily pre-use check PUWER expects • Pass, fail or mark each item not needed; a fail raises a defect • Defects are minor, major or Do not use; a Do not use defect stops the machine until it is resolved • Photos on every defect, and the repair logged as a service record • Build your own lists from suggestions matched to the machine: end of shift, weekly, transport, hire handover

LOLER, PUWER AND MOT IN DATE • A Compliance page per machine: LOLER thorough examination, PUWER inspection, MOT, road tax and insurance • Mark an examination done and the app asks for the report • A machine that lifts people gets its LOLER every 6 months • An audit pack PDF for any machine and date range: details, compliance, daily checks, defects, service log and hours

SHIFTS, HOURS AND FUEL • Start a shift in two taps: site, operator and the daily check on one screen • The engine timer runs on its own, or read the hour meter at the start and the end; hours add up even if your phone locks • End the shift with fuel and AdBlue added, photos and end-of-shift checks • A fuel log per machine with litres, cost and litres per hour

DOCUMENTS, ATTACHMENTS, OPERATORS AND HIRE • LOLER reports, PUWER inspections, insurance, V5C, MOT, CE declarations, hire and finance agreements, manuals and operators' CPCS or NPORS cards, with expiry reminders • Which bucket, breaker or forks is on which machine • Operators and their cards; who ran which shift • Put a machine on hire with the customer, site, rate and return date, and an alert when it is due back • A QR tag for every machine; report a machine stolen and share its details

PRICE MyHeavyPlantMate is free to download and comes with a 30 day free trial, no card needed. After that it's £49.99 a year, less than £1 a week, bought in the app through the App Store. One subscription covers every machine on your account, up to 25. The subscription renews every year until cancelled, and you can cancel any time in your App Store settings. If you don't subscribe, your account becomes read-only: your records are kept safe, you can still see and export everything, and your data is kept for 12 months in case you come back.

MyHeavyPlantMate helps you keep records. It doesn't replace LOLER thorough examinations, PUWER inspections, the MOT or your manufacturer's service schedule, and you remain responsible for the safety of your machines and the people around them.
