a word for u is an app for exchanging words privately between two people. It is designed for couples and friends who want to share words from their languages.

Connect two accounts by invitation. Each person can send one word per day, with a meaning or translation and an example sentence. You enter the text yourself, in any language.

The received word appears in an animated pixel garden. Tap the word to see its meaning. Sent and received words remain available in a list. You can search words and mark favorites.
