Coptic Psalmody

Coptic Psalmody brings the hymns and responses of the Coptic Orthodox Church to your phone, in Coptic, English and Arabic.

EVERY HYMN IN FIVE WAYS Read each hymn in Coptic, Coptic in English letters, English, Arabic in English letters, or Arabic. Put two side by side, verse by verse, to follow the meaning as you chant.

THE MIDNIGHT PRAISES (TASBEHA) The whole order of the Midnight Praises: the four Canticles with their Lobsh and Psalis, the Commemoration, the Doxologies, and the Theotokia for every day of the week.

DEACON & ALTAR RESPONSES The responses between the priest, deacons and people for Vespers, Matins, the Offering of the Lamb and the Liturgy of the Word, with each speaker shown in their own colour.

LEARN THE HYMNS Listen to recordings, slow them down without changing the pitch, and repeat one verse until you know it. The verse being sung lights up as the audio plays. Ideal for deacons' schools, choirs and Sunday school.

PROJECTOR MODE Show any hymn on a church screen, one verse at a time, with Coptic, English and Arabic together in large, clear text.

THE COPTIC CALENDAR Today's Coptic date, the current season and what's coming next, with home-screen and Lock Screen widgets. Turn on reminders to hear the evening before each feast and fast, then tap to open its hymns.
