Crumple Focus Reader is an education app for reading saved articles and EPUB books. You can read page by page or stream text one word at a time, with pauses and haptic feedback tied to punctuation, and optional ambient loops playing behind the text. It is aimed at people with a backlog of things they intend to read, and it is free with no ads or account.

Crumple helps you finish it. Send any article from Safari, or open an EPUB, and read it page by page, or stream it one word at a time. Commas and full stops get their own pause and their own tap, so your attention has something to hold on to.

When you reach the end, the page crumples into a ball. Your pile is one shorter.
