Lyhyesti
FoxKeys is an iPhone app for practising sight-reading on a piano. It shows a note, the user plays the matching key on their own piano, and the microphone checks the result. Notes are introduced gradually, and shaky ones come up more often. Its listening happens only on the phone, with nothing recorded or stored.

Like a touch-typing trainer – but for reading music. FoxKeys shows you a note, you play it on your own piano, and the app listens to check you hit the right key. No cable, no tapping the screen, no guessing.
It started as a personal project: the developer wanted to get back to the piano after years away – and used FoxKeys to brush up his sight-reading in no time.
HOW YOU LEARN • Landmark notes first: start from three anchor notes and read from there instead of counting lines. • Every new note is introduced before you're quizzed on it. • The next note only joins once all current ones are solid. • Speed matters: a note counts as learned only when you play it right and fast. • Shaky notes come up more often, solid ones less. • Missed? Your note appears in red next to the target, so you can spot typical mix-ups.
FEATURES • Treble clef, bass clef, or both mixed • Optional sharps and flats • Landscape mode with a big keyboard • Progress for every single note • Works with acoustic and digital pianos – your iPhone listens through the microphone • No account, no subscription, no ads. Sound is analysed only on your iPhone; nothing is recorded or stored.
Buy once, practise forever.
