Handed Down Kitchen

Handed Down Kitchen is a private recipe box for your family: the handwritten cards, the "add a pinch of this" recipes that only live in someone's head, and the stories that go with them.

KEEP THE RECIPE AND THE PERSON Every recipe remembers who it came from, with a photo of the original card in their handwriting. Record Grandma telling the story behind her turkey, in her own words, and keep it with the recipe.

SCAN THE CARDS Take a photo of a recipe card, even a faded handwritten one, and it's typed up for you to check.

SEE WHERE A RECIPE HAS BEEN Mark where a recipe began and every place it's been made since, and watch its journey on a map, from the farm kitchen in 1952 to your first apartment.

COOK THE BIG MEAL WITHOUT THE STRESS Put a holiday menu together and say when you're serving. Handed Down Kitchen works out when to start each dish, from every step's timer, and what goes in the oven when.

MADE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY Invite everyone, from the grandkids to the great-aunts. Each person signs in with their own email, no passwords to remember. Larger text, read-aloud steps and a hands-free Cook Mode make it easy at the stove.

PRINT A FAMILY COOKBOOK Turn your recipe box into a printable cookbook, with each recipe's story, its original card, and QR codes that play the recordings.

YOUR RECIPES ARE YOURS No ads, no tracking. Download everything, any time.

Try the sample kitchen first: a made-up family's recipe box you can look around without signing up.

SUBSCRIPTION Every new recipe box is free for 14 days, then $19.99 a year or $2.99 a month (prices may vary by country). Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless it's turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Family members you invite don't need a subscription of their own.
